Rhavynn Drummer

A Jersey girl by birth but raised an hour north of New York City in Orange County, New York, Rhavynn Drummer has always had a passion for storytelling. However, growing up she was convinced that she would become an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. She attended the University of Virginia with the intention of being pre-med but majoring in Theater. After failing Chemistry 141 AND 142 she decided to let go of her path in medicine and concentrate on her love of theater. While in college she re-ignited the “Paul Robeson Players, “ an African-American theater ensemble on campus. In 2007 Rhavynn graduated with a double major in Theater and American Studies. Two weeks after graduating she moved to Atlanta to begin an internship at Tyler Perry Studios.

While at Tyler Perry Studios she had the pleasure of interning with legendary producer and casting director, Reuben Cannon. She eventually became the casting assistant under the tutelage of Alpha Tyler. In June of 2011, at the age of 25, she became the in-house casting director. While at Tyler Perry Studios she has had the privilege of working on 13 feature films, 6 television series, and 7 theatrical productions. Some of her favorites include “The Family that Preys” and “The Haves and Have Nots” currently on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

She is the creator, producer, and director of the digital series “Good Girls,” a story about four women of faith exploring their moral compass through living and dating in Atlanta.
