Avid Entrepreneurship
Founder/CEO

Kevin McGee is the founder of Avid Entrepreneurship, a consulting firm dedicated to helping entrepreneurs build better businesses. Kevin founded this firm in 2013 as a vehicle to provide coaching and consulting to startups, early-stage ventures, and established companies.  Kevin McGee was a serial entrepreneur long before the term became trendy.  With a wide range of experience ranging from light manufacturing to multi-unit franchising, he started his first major venture at 23 years old.  It was a small light-manufacturing company in Washington, DC that he founded with two other partners. The company developed and manufactured two patented products for the cosmetology industry. He has more than 25 years of entrepreneurial and business development experience, giving him unique insight and wisdom into this area of entrepreneurship.

For Kevin entrepreneurship is more than starting a business, it’s a strategy and way of life that can help you live a life full of meaning and purpose. His goal is to help entrepreneurs understand the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship thus enabling them to make wise decisions that lead to successful outcomes. Over the past 20 years Kevin has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs start, grow, and, when necessary, exit their businesses.

Kevin also serves as Vice President of Business Development and Advisory Services for Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE).  ACE provides loans to small businesses that lack access to traditional forms of credit. Beyond the financial assistance, Kevin specializes in providing outcome-oriented strategic planning services to entrepreneurs.

A firm believer in community service, Kevin serves as president of the Morehouse College Alumni Association and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Morehouse College and the Morehouse School of Medicine. Kevin is active in a number of organizations, including United Way of Metro Atlanta, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, Communities in Schools of Georgia and DeKalb County School Mentoring.  He believes that a strong family is a crucial component of success.  He is married to his wife Dionne McGee, and together they have two daughters.
