This session will outline the steps necessary to conduct a successful Twitter chat and examine the unique challenges and benefits offered through the Twitter platform. Melissa, Carlos and Katie have played an essential role in the management, development, promotion and evaluation of Twitter chats on a myriad of health topics. They will share their expertise on how to successfully integrate Twitter chats into social media plans and effectively add a new form of engagement to your practice. Bring your smartphones or tablets powered and ready as the session will also include a live Twitter Chat to demonstrate the recommendations in real life! Not on Twitter yet? That's ok - we'll find you a Twitter buddy in the session. Topics include: • Basic Twitter terms and activities • Pre chat preparation and post chat follow-up • How to develop a Twitter script • How to select a chat topic • How to choose a hashtag • How to recruit guests for the chat • How to establish Twitter chat etiquette • Suggested Twitter analytics tools
