In a world where technology is changing the face of everyday life experiences, there's an increasing number of people using these tools in creative ways to highlight critical issues and concerns that effect their daily lives with hopes of transforming their future. From the recent #BringBackOurGirls campaign to the city-hopping, experiential works of French artist/photographer/activist JR, everyday people are taking advantage of technology and raising awareness for entire communities by shedding light on the sometimes darker, less known social issues that plague cities around the world. This panel will highlight some of the most significant, highly successful movements that have utilized technology to attract people around the world to one common cause. You’ll also receive insights on what steps you can take to begin making a difference in your community today.
