As feature articles in both the New York Times and Wall Street Journal over the last month have described, the line between geek/nerd culture and popular culture has almost completely disappeared as our world has become more and more digital. The old geek stigmas are not only gone, they've become badges of honor, markers of cool. The big ComicCons are no longer niche events for comic book enthusiasts, but mega-celebrations of the popular arts and popular culture. Four Atlanta entrepreneurs very familiar with this cultural intersection share their thoughts on what this digital ascendance means for the business of pop culture, and how Atlanta can play a leading role.
